It is official. The most admired colour of recent times is going nowhere just yet. It is stronger than ever and it is considered the new neutral. Say hello again to millennial pink.
We have known it as blush, pale pink, pinky peach, muted salmon, even ironic pink as it's not too girly. Now known as millennial pink it is hotter than ever, one of this year's biggest trends but also one close to the heart of many interior obsessed people I know and it will last way past the trend for those.
But where has it all started? British Vogue has the answer:
I cannot agree more. At home, you can find it everywhere, starting with my clothes, shoes and make up but also in the kitchen, on my walls, bedding, rugs, cushions, well everywhere!
There may still be some resistance to it being part of the pink family. No need to resist, go for it! It is such a versatile, calming, happy colour. And for the husbands and boyfriends that object to it - bring in a piece a a time and you will win them over... It is not a feminine pink, it is an 'everyone' pink!
Yes, I admit, I am also guilty of having a millennial pink mug that I sip on my morning coffee from. I have a few different ones actually! That is one way of incorporating this feel-good colour into your lifestyle.
There are many ways you can candy-colour your home without feeling like you live in a Katy Perry music video. Millennial pink is very easy to incorporate into accessories and features without being overwhelming. In fact, it is equally as neutral as grey.
