It's been a year of cactus, monstera leaves and pineapples. We want nature
around us and as a result we are filling our homes with greenery and
elements that reminds us about being in a tropical island. And in finding a
way of balancing the busy digital life we live, we are also in turn
bringing some colour and life into our homes.
Have you checked out the latest green trend on Instagram yet?
This one has been a long time coming! We have previously turned makeovers
around much faster (you can see the guest bedroom makeover here), but since
I've been full-time with little one it's been more difficult to find the
time to start & finish things all at one go. After some late nights, it is
finally done! And it is one of my favourite makeovers to date.
There is also a GIVEAWAY you can't miss if you are planning to redecorate
any room in your home, so keep reading for your chance to win...
If you're anything like the rest of the UK families, you're already making
Christmas plans (that's if you didn't start back in September - why wait
until after Halloween anyway?). And if you will be hosting the party this
year, you're thinking you need to get your home ready for the festive
season!
For a lot of people that includes finally getting that kick up the bottom
to get a new sofa. If you identify with that or know someone that would,
keep reading to get access to a great offer!
At the end of September I visited Bert & May Showroom to see first-hand the
result of their collaboration with Darkroom in a range of amazingly
simplistic and statement-making tiles which celebrate the beauty of three
geometric shapes: the circle, the square and the triangle. Could it sound
any better? Erm, yes... They come in a distinctive monochrome palette. Come
and check them out!
Long gone are the days that we would just go to IKEA for the cheapest and
plainest flat packed furniture when we desperately needed storage space and
couldn't afford to get anything else. Seriously, there is so much more we
can get at Ikea these days. And one of their latest collections is so cool
you won't be able to get enough of it... I warn you, there are stunning
images in this post!
