I am a shoe-addict. No shame in saying it. If you know that 'you-can-never-have-too-many-pairs' feeling, or can't stop yourself from buying another pair when you don't need them, but 'oh well they look so good!' then you will totally get this!I have just got three more pairs of shoes while on holidays (the I-don't-need-them-but-they-look-so-good type!), and I had been thinking for a while about sharing some really cool and practical shoe storage solutions with you, so here it is!Regardless of how many pairs you have or how much space is available for you to store them (which normally isn't a lot of space in the average home), you know you want a defined space to keep your shoes tidy and...
I have to admit that I'm a lover of flowers and even more so plants! A bit of greenery really completes a room and makes everything happier and brighter. Maybe because I grew up in Brazil and greenery is almost everywhere. However... I also have to admit that I'm not good at keeping them alive, as sad as it is, life always gets in the way. I once successfully kept an orchid alive for a few months and I was over the moon, but it must have been luck. My friend at Shiny Black Door has recently written a post about her orchid mission, and I feel every bit of her struggle! Some of my artificial greens on my bookcase...
I have a super soft spot for children's bedrooms! Usually beautiful and fun, where you can use and abuse of colours and let your imagination run wild. And it's so rewarding when you put effort into little ones' spaces!Recently I've been working on redecorating the bedroom of the cutest 4 year old girl. Her parents decided to rearrange their home to give her a space of her own. So you can imagine I was a little excited to be a part of it! (OK, a lot!) We started off with two colour schemes in mind: pastel mint & pink, or grey & pink. They fell for the second.Grey & Pink has been done a million times, but the key is picking...
At the end of December our Baby L turned one, and as December was approaching we were thinking should we throw a party, should we not? Then we decided to throw a small party! The problem is that when you ask a designer to throw a party, no matter how small, you can't expect not to have a party theme, DIY decorations and lots of lists to organise it all! Off I was to plan it, and after a lot of fun on Pinterest I decided to go for the 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' theme. And the colour gold. Because that was the colour of the cake stands I wanted to use, and that's where it all started! The first thing I...
It feels like ages in between my posts at the moment. I know, I tell myself that everyday. I have been doing some work behind the scenes on the blog (more on that very soon in a blog post near you), and hopefully soon it'll be all shiny and ready! All my little free time (= blog time!) is going into those changes at the moment, I am really enjoying learning new ways of doing things and can't wait to bring all my plans to life! That's part of my plan to kick off the new year making things happen! Or trying to, at least. And talking of which, it's not too late to make changes at home that will help you...
